I saw numerous cripples on my street with weapons of war, Ak 47, grenades, sword, etc. I was surprised because the last set of people I expected at the war front are the ones wheeling themselves on the street wailing and yelling “we no go gree”
CRIPPLES AT WAR FRONT!!! I can’t but exclaimed as different thoughts filled my mind. The cripple shouldn’t be allowed to go on this battle, I’m quite sure that our failure is inevitable. How are we going to confront a village with proven track records of defeating our forefathers and other neighboring villages over and over?
I called the attention of our commander, war is not a joking matter, we need able hands, and we need men of strength and of valour to win this battle. The cripples were instructed to go back home and relax.
But, none of them obliged,
Wait a minute, are you surprised that cripples are also interested in defending their rights? Or you are wondering why the cripples will dare to face a battle in the name of claiming what rightfully belong to them.
Anyways, don’t be surprised; claiming what rightfully belong to us is one of the greatest achievements we can attain as human, either whole or handicapped.
I noticed that; the cripples knew their right, they knew that our village is not expected to bow to the threat of our opponent, they had zeal and passion, the information needed were intact, they possess the courage and are adequately armed, but one thing is missing, they are not “ABLE” they are not fit enough to win a battle for us. They cannot give expression to all they possess.
Nigeria requires a change, but the agent of changed are handicapped with poverty, mental slavery and all sorts of crime. We’ll remain at this level if we do not heal our cripple mind and feeble intellect. Nigeria will not progress if we fail to imbibe right values set on positive principles. Are you ready?
