This is the heart cry of most African children; in fact, many of us are subjected to a situation whereby we need to fend for ourselves as we increase in age.

In reality, there is a man we can point to as a FATHER but in responsibility the man is lesser than a Man not to talk being a Father.

Most African men live like mediocre, despite the fact that they attended polytechnics and universities. This brought me to a conclusion that; being educated is different from being responsible.

They know how to impregnate women, but never learn what it takes to sustain the seed planted as it grows and germinate

They turn marriages to child rearing business without understanding that upbringing is the major responsibility of parenthood

They are parents because they have children not because they are responsible.

In the dictionary of this “lesser than men – fathers” responsibility, care and affection towards children doesn’t exist; maybe the revised edition will have that.

We plead to get half of our school fee while they leave us to search for the remaining part of the payment as if we have two fathers

The mother feed us, clothe us, subscribe to our phones, pray for us, and advise us, in short, cater for all our needs and receive a little help from the so-called father. I wonder who the helper is.

Yet, these “lesser than men – fathers” receive salary only to get drunk and squander it on ladies, did I say ladies? Sorry, I mean girls that greet their children while kneeling. A disgrace to fatherhood

These are men that flaunt and heap lies, while drinking with their friends how much they spend on each child when they don’t even know our levels in schools. What a pity?

We call them father because we carry their DNA, but in reality we know our mother as the FATHER because she carries the responsibility of the head of the house while the so-called husband performs lesser than someone you can even call a wife

We are not orphans because we have our mother, but our mother is a widow because her husband isn’t responsible- his existence adds no value

If you are like this father, you are a boy. If you are in your youthful age and have never learnt responsibility, you are planning to be a father as a boy.

Let us continue tomorrow
