The list to what you need with love in a relationship is endless and inexhaustible. Each relationship is dynamic from the other. But some things are universally expected to be in a relationship in order to help the partners achieve the aim of the relationship.
Trust: it takes time to build trust. Trust is an essential ingredient in a relationship. It is expected that partners should trust themselves. Trust can be easily broken if there is doubts in one of the partners.
Communication: is the fuel to the success of any relationship. it is key for the partners to communicate with each other. This creates an avenue for intimacy.
Loyalty: your ability to stand by your partner at all times speaks a lot about the level of loyalty in that relationship. You owe your partner your loyalty as they do you.
Humour: all work and no play make Jack a dull boy, they say. You and your partner need to catch fun together, laugh and lighten the moment. It does not have to always get overly serious.
Time: the amount of quality time you and your partner spend together determines how solid your intimacy and communication is. It is not about how long the time is, rather it is about how much and what you are able to achieve within the time spent.
Value: the words you speak to and about your partner tell the kind of value you place on your relationship and them. You should never take your partner for granted.
Transparency: a relationship should be without secrets. The partners in a relationship should be open to each other. This helps to build trust.
